Platform enforcement
Ad account suspended or restricted: compliant next steps
Ad account suspended or restricted on Meta, Google or TikTok? Read the notice, fix the cause and use the platform’s own review. Why a new account is not the fix.

The short answer
Start with the platform’s notice: it identifies what was restricted and the review options available. Check whether it concerns an ad, account, business or person. Fix the underlying cause, such as the ad, landing page, business information or payment, then follow the platform’s own process. Opening, buying or borrowing another account to continue restricted advertising can count as circumvention and lead to further enforcement.
Who this is for
Advertisers investigating a platform restriction, not looking for an account to continue restricted activity.
Identify what was restricted
Read the exact notice in the correct platform account. An ad rejection, an ad-account restriction, a business or portfolio restriction and a user restriction are different issues. A sign-in error or a missing permission is not necessarily enforcement.
Record the affected asset, identifier, reason, date and current review options. Preserve the original notice and redact unrelated customer information before sharing it.
Find and fix the underlying cause
Review the issue actually named in the notice. Check the ad and destination together, verify business information and permissions, and reconcile any payment issue. Do not assume a single change explains every restriction.
- Compare the ad, offer, landing page and customer experience with the cited policy.
- Check requested identity or business verification through the platform’s secure process.
- Confirm payment records and billing details without exposing full card or bank information.
- Record the factual changes made and the evidence that supports them.
- Keep the same account and issue reference when following up.
Request a review through the platform
Use the review option provided in the notice or the platform’s official support area. An available review option, required evidence and the final decision depend on the platform and the specific restriction. Do not give your login details to someone claiming a private reinstatement route.

| Platform | Official starting point | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Meta | Business Support Home | Open the affected asset and follow the review options actually shown. |
| Google Ads | Account suspensions and review | Read the account notice; use the official appeal and supply accurate information. |
| TikTok Ads | Account Health or the destination shown in the notice | Follow the in-product guidance for your enforcement type; use the available appeal and status controls. |
| Snapchat Ads | Snap Business Help and the account notice | Use the official support option for the affected ad account; do not confuse it with consumer account support. |
What not to do
Do not open or buy another account, use someone else’s account or conceal the real destination to continue restricted advertising. Do not use cloaking or change destinations to evade review. These actions do not fix the original cause and may create further policy problems.
Meta’s rules prohibit helping others evade enforcement. Other platforms also apply their own enforcement requirements. Read the policy guidance before taking action and use truthful information in a review request.
If you are an AdsGorilla client
Disclose the restriction to your existing support contact with the account reference and the notice, rather than requesting another account. Ask which factual records the team can help you gather under your agreed support scope. The platform decides reviews; AdsGorilla cannot overturn its decision.
Share only the necessary issue details through the established support channel. Never send a password, one-time code, full card number or unrelated customer data. Confirm the account-specific next step before making further funding or access changes.
Frequently asked questions
Why was my ad account suspended?
Use the exact platform notice, not a generic diagnosis. Restrictions may concern policy, business information, verification, payment or related assets. Identify what was restricted and the stated reason, then investigate the supporting facts. A delivery problem or access error is not automatically a suspension.
How do I appeal?
Follow the review route in the platform notice or the official help links above. Provide accurate account references, explain the issue and document relevant corrections. Use only the review options available for that case; a support message or form submission is not a favorable review decision.
How long does a review take?
The platform controls the review and any timing shown for the case. This guide does not give an estimate or promise an outcome. Check the current notice or ticket status and avoid duplicate submissions unless the platform asks for them.
Can I open a new account or use an agency account instead?
Not to continue activity that has been restricted. A new, bought or borrowed account does not resolve the original cause and may be treated as circumvention. Follow the platform’s review process and disclose restrictions before asking about any agency service.
Can AdsGorilla get my account reinstated?
AdsGorilla cannot overturn a platform decision or promise reinstatement. Disclose the notice to your support contact and confirm what factual records the team can help organize under the agreed support scope. Only the platform determines the review outcome.
What if my AdsGorilla-provided account is restricted?
Contact your existing support channel with the account reference, exact notice and current status. Confirm the next step for that account and your service terms before changing access or funding. Do not request a substitute account to continue restricted advertising; the platform’s review process still applies.
