Ads not delivering? Separate funding, account and campaign checks

Check missing impressions in Google, Meta or TikTok without confusing workspace funding with campaign delivery. Record status, timing and the affected account.

The short answer

What to know before you begin

An accessible, funded account can still contain campaigns that are paused, scheduled, under review or otherwise ineligible. Check the affected campaign’s actual impressions and status in the platform, then investigate the specific reason before changing budgets.

Who this is for

Media buyers and customers investigating zero or unexpectedly low delivery on Google, Meta or TikTok.

1. Confirm what is missing in the platform report

Check the correct account, date range and platform timezone, then look at actual impressions and spend. Not seeing your own ad in a search or feed is not enough to establish zero delivery. For Google Search, use Ad Preview and Diagnosis alongside campaign reporting; repeated personal searches or clicking your own ad are not a reliable test.

2. Read the status at each relevant level

Look for the exact message at the account, campaign, ad group or ad set, and ad levels. Check intended start and end times and whether the campaign was deliberately paused. Google’s guidance separates campaign status, budgets and billing checks; TikTok likewise distinguishes review, scheduling, pauses and delivery limitations. For Meta, record the message displayed in Ads Manager rather than inferring it from another platform’s labels.

3. Confirm funding reached the correct place

Distinguish remaining workspace credit from the target advertising account’s funding and spending limits. If an allocation is still pending, making changes to the ad cannot complete that transfer. If the platform shows a payment or budget error, give the operating team the exact message and related request. Do not add more money solely because impressions are zero.

4. Review settings with the campaign owner

If access and funding are confirmed, ask the buyer to review the destination, eligible assets, scheduling and relevant targeting or bidding settings against the displayed diagnosis. Under Self Managed, this is your buyer’s work; under Fully Managed, involve the team responsible for the agreed campaign scope. Change one explained setting at a time and record it. This guide does not prescribe an automatic budget increase.

5. Handle review or restrictions through the proper process

If the platform reports a review, verification requirement, rejected ad or account restriction, preserve the reason and follow its official review or appeal route with the authorized owner. Do not assume another account removes that requirement. AdsGorilla cannot promise approval or a fixed review time. Snapchat is account provision only and is not covered by the campaign-management workflow described here.

6. Send a diagnosis that can be reproduced

Include the account and campaign references, the affected period and timezone, exact status messages, and impressions and spend for that same period. List recent changes and whether the issue affects one campaign or the entire account. If the real problem is that leads are not recorded despite impressions, use the measurement checklist instead of treating it as a delivery failure.
